It all started with a spontaneous call and a shared love for adventure. I reached out to Nico, an old friend from my paragliding days, someone who shares my passion for exploring the wild. The plan? A last-minute, two-night wild camp at Kubu Island, nestled in the heart of the vast Makgadikgadi Pans in Botswana.

During the long drive, the Jimny became the heart of our conversation—its growing popularity and how it symbolises freedom and adventure. I shared an idea: a grille I’d designed for the Jimny, which had gone viral with over 52,000 likes on Instagram. Nico, an expert in plastic molding, excitedly said, “Let’s make it!”
